Our Review of the Cuvée

This dry, crisp white wine offers subtle aromas of exotic fruits and white flowers on the nose. On the palate, its light texture and liveliness deliver a lovely freshness, with citrus notes and a hint of minerality on the finish. Ideal with seafood and grilled fish, it evokes moments of summery conviviality in good company.

Florian Le Capitaine

Loire | France

Florian Le Capitaine is a young winemaker based in Rochecorbon, in the Vouvray appellation (Loire). He cultivates approximately 6 hectares of vines on clay-limestone soils and manages his vineyard using organic farming methods—including conversion to organic practices or biodynamic techniques—without herbicides or insecticides, relying on mechanical tillage. He comes from a family of winemakers and worked for several years at the family estate before starting his own business.

The wines produced are primarily white wines made from Chenin Blanc, including cuvées such as Les Aumônes (dry or off-dry), which are vinified with minimal intervention and aged on the lees. The practices employed reflect a low-intervention approach and a commitment to expressing the pure character of the Vouvray terroir.
