Alain Chabanon
The Alain Chabanon estate is located in Montpeyroux, in the heart of the Terrasses du Larzac, in the Languedoc. After studying oenology in Bordeaux and gaining several experiences in France and abroad, Alain Chabanon settled in the late 1980s and quickly established a personal style, based on precision and the expression of the terroir.
The vineyard extends across several plots spread around Montpeyroux and Jonquières, on varied soils combining schist, limestone, and rolled pebbles. The vines are cultivated organically, with particular attention paid to yields, grape ripeness, and the diversity of Mediterranean grape varieties.
In the cellar, winemaking is carried out with minimal intervention, aiming to preserve the natural balance of the wines. Aging is tailored to each cuvée, often lengthy, to allow the wines time to develop their harmony and reflect the unique character of each terroir.
