Established in Saint-Lager since 1947, in the heart of the Beaujolais wine region, Domaine des Fournelles is a family business that has been passed down through three generations. Here, there is no rush to expand or increase the number of appellations: the choice is clear and deliberate. The estate focuses on just two appellations, Brouilly and Côte de Brouilly, to fully express their unique character.

These two appellations, though often confused, are in fact rooted in very different terroirs. The estate is committed to showcasing them with precision through traditional Beaujolais winemaking methods, which are perfectly suited to the white-juiced black Gamay, the only grape variety grown here. The vines, planted on the hillsides of the southeastern slope of the Brouilly mountain, benefit from ideal sunlight, which lends depth and aromatic richness to the wines. Harvesting is done exclusively by hand.
