Our Review of the Cuvée
The color is light gold, slightly cloudy. The nose is surprisingly typical of the Jura region, with notes of toasted sesame, firecrackers, and peat. The palate is slender and taut, driven by a delicate acidity enhanced by a light effervescence, while offering a fresh, velvety, enveloping texture with rich fruit that is subtly smoky and toasted. The balance is superb. The beautiful finish does not disappoint, with even more freshness and tension and a long, lingering finish of toasted sesame, praline, and smoky peat.
La Grapp'A
Languedoc | France
In Auvergne, La Grapp'A crafts wines predominantly from Gamay grapes cultivated on basaltic soils. The red wines exhibit a vibrant dark fruit profile, subtle tension, and a lightly smoky finish characteristic of the region. Gentle vinification processes yield elegant, sometimes almost infused, expressions. This is an engaging and transparent estate that truly embodies the volcanic revival in Auvergne.
