Zinzinu 2024

Patrimonio | Blanc | 2024

This Vermentinu is made from organically grown grapes grown on south-east-facing limestone and clay soils. Hand-harvested at early ripeness, it is aged for 6 to 8 months on fine lees in stainless steel tanks following natural fermentation. It is bottled with light filtration and a very low dosage of sulfites. A maritime-style white wine that is balanced, fresh, and a pure expression of the grape variety and terroir.

Our Review of the Cuvée

The color is light, pale gold. The nose reveals refined aromas of Asian pear, ripe lemon, white melon, and white flowers, underpinned by a briny note reminiscent of the Corsican coast. On the palate, the texture is generous, with balanced body and vibrant fruit. The acidity is delicate and refreshing, and the briny finish lingers on the palate with an invigorating hint of the sea. A bright, easy-drinking, and convivial wine, perfect as an aperitif or with fresh seafood.

In Haute-Corse, Vermentinu takes on a luminous character at Nicolas Mariotti Bindi. The whites have a briny core and a firm structure. The reds, made from Niellucciu, gain depth without losing their Mediterranean suppleness. In a word: they’re vibrant.
