Domaine Terrasses de Gabrielle

Cinsault Zero just for one day 2024

Pays D'Hérault | Rouge | 2024

This Hérault regional wine is a tribute to the art of Cinsault, elevating this grape variety through a vinification process that respects its inherent character. Sourced from a 12-year-old parcel cultivated with passion, this wine is crafted without added sulfites, thereby preserving the purity of its aromas. Harvesting is mechanical, and the wine benefits from thermal control and gentle pump-overs, before aging in stainless steel tanks, which imparts a vibrant freshness.

Our Review of the Cuvée

The initial visual contact reveals a deep purple hue with glints of light, inviting one to explore the wine's bouquet. Discreetly, aromas of juicy plums and subtle spices emerge. On the palate, the wine surprises with its round profile and unexpected lightness, enveloped in a fine, fresh texture. Its substance expresses itself delicately, offering vibrant and charming fruit. The finish, with controlled exuberance, is characterized by spicy notes and a hint of cherry pit, imparting freshness and vivacity to each sip.

These cuvées exhibit an instinctive harmony, as if the diverse grape varieties of Minervois willingly coexist. Carignan, Grenache, Cinsault: each contributes a nuance without dominating. The rarer white wines are particularly surprising. The vinifications are straightforward, occasionally a bit rustic, yet the overall expression maintains genuine sincerity. In short: excellent drinkability.
