Our Review of the Cuvée

The nose is lively, oscillating between crisp fruitiness
(plum, wild berries) and floral notes after aeration. The background
of the nose has a hint of kirsch. The palate follows the nose,
with a fairly delicate touch; the fruit comes into its own in the
mid-palate. It displays its (juicy) acidity on the finish, supported
by fine tannins. The finish is slightly disrupted at this
stage (a subtle milky reduction), where one can detect the cherry pit
and the flesh of the fruit’s skin. Very subtle bitter notes
barely hint at the touch of aging, which is very delicate.

Vincent Gaudry crafts Sancerre wines characterized by precision: ripe yet structured Sauvignon Blanc, subtle minerality, and consistent structure. The limestone plots impart a refined depth, while the clay soils contribute a fuller fruit profile. Extended aging harmonizes the whole without overpowering the style. This estate offers a clear and nuanced interpretation of Sancerre.
