Julien Auroux has transformed the family’s 11-hectare estate into an organic vineyard, drawing on his experience in Australia, New Zealand, and working with renowned winemakers in Bordeaux. This wine, made from Merlot, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon, is vinified in concrete tanks without any additives, except for a touch of sulfites added before bottling. The organic approach and the blend of grape varieties give this cuvée a unique character and authentic purity.

Our Review of the Cuvée

Visually, its deep garnet hue is captivating, sparking curiosity. From the very first whiff, it entices with a minty freshness accented by hints of blackcurrant and wild blackberry. On the palate, it strikes a balance between tension and freshness, where the fruit expresses itself generously with a luscious texture. The finish is a delicate concentration of flavors, highlighting blackcurrant, pepper, and menthol, while maintaining remarkable length. A fascinating wine that elegantly combines finesse and liveliness.

Being in Auvergne changes everything: volcanic soils, natural acidity, and vibrant yet substantial juices. Auroux cultivates Gamay and other local varieties with a gentle approach, reminiscent of natural viticulture, without sacrificing complexity. The wines are often crisp, sometimes exhibiting greater depth depending on the specific parcels. In short: tranquil energy. A true delight for the table.
