Domaine Barou

Domaine Barou

Rhône Valley | France

In the hills of Ardèche, Domaine Barou has been cultivating its vines organically for many years. Located in the immediate vicinity of the Saint-Joseph appellation, the estate primarily works with Syrah in a more elongated and supple style than typically found on neighboring slopes.

Ripeness levels are deliberately contained to preserve fruit freshness and structural balance. The reds are built on polished tannins and a clear expression of fruit, without seeking excessive power. The estate also produces precise and balanced white wines, adhering to the same philosophy of clarity.

All the cuvées are distinguished by great coherence and a serene style, faithful to a measured interpretation of the Northern Rhône. These are straightforward and accessible wines, crafted without excess and designed for a fluid tasting experience.
