Our opinion on the vintage

The wine is pale gold, slightly cloudy. The nose is surprisingly Jura-like, with aromas of toasted sesame, firecrackers, and peat. The palate is elegant, taut with a fine acidity enhanced by a slight effervescence, while offering a fresh, supple, enveloping texture with luscious fruit and a subtle smokiness/toastiness. The balance is superb. The very fine finish only adds to the experience, with even more freshness and tension, and a long, lingering finish of toasted sesame, praline, and smoky peat.

La Grapp'A

Languedoc | France

In Auvergne, La Grapp'A produces wines made primarily from Gamay grapes grown on basaltic soils. The reds develop a vibrant black fruit character, a subtle tension, and a slightly smoky touch typical of the region. The very gentle winemaking process yields elegant, sometimes almost infused, wines. An engaging and approachable estate that truly does justice to the volcanic revival of Auvergne.
