La vigne en rose 2023

Alsace | White | 2023

The Vignoble du Rêveur estate spans 7 hectares in Bennwihr, Alsace, on Quaternary alluvial soils. Created by Mathieu Deiss and Emmanuelle Milan, the estate distinguishes itself through its biodynamic and organic viticulture, employing innovative practices such as vinification in amphorae and unfiltered wines. This wine blends hand-harvested Riesling and Gewurztraminer grapes. The winemaking process separates the grape varieties before blending them, resulting in aromatic depth and a silky texture.

Our opinion on the vintage

Visually, an intense gold color flecked with pink highlights reveals an inviting wine. The nose is delicate and elegant, exuding aromas of rose petal, grapefruit, and nectarine. On the palate, it is round and enveloping, with a full and airy texture that caresses the palate. Flavors mingle harmoniously, with notes of yellow fruit, flowers, and spices. The finish is persistent, revealing a richness of dried peach and faded rose, enhanced by a touch of oriental spices, while remaining remarkably dry.

Vignoble du Rêveur

Alsace | France

Le Vignoble du Rêveur is a wine estate created in 2013 in Bennwihr, Alsace, by Mathieu Deiss, a member of the renowned Deiss family, and Emmanuelle Milan. The project is based on the pursuit of a free and natural expression of wine, with biodynamic and organic viticulture on approximately 7 hectares of Quaternary alluvial soils.

The estate was converted to biodynamics from its inception and certified Demeter, with a philosophy that values innovative practices such as long macerations, indigenous yeasts, aging in large oak casks and often wines without filtration or added sulfur, thus offering a wide diversity of styles.

The wines of Vignoble du Rêveur are expressed with freshness and complexity, ranging from lively and taut cuvées like "Vibrations" in Riesling to original blends like "Rien ne Bouge" or "Artisan", reflecting both the geological identity of Alsace and the creative spirit of its winemakers.
