St Jacques, produced from the estate located in the Hautes-Corbières, is a carefully crafted wine. Hand-harvested grapes followed by low-temperature fermentation without added sulfur reflect an environmentally conscious approach. This wine, a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, and Mourvèdre, boasts an elegant style thanks to gentle extraction. It is aged in oak barrels, unfiltered, to preserve its natural character and pure flavors.

Our opinion on the vintage

With its translucent ruby robe, St Jacques is distinguished by a subtle nose evoking ripe cherry, morello cherry, and delicate hints of licorice and dried orange. The first sip reveals a round and airy palate, where the fine, crisp texture expresses itself through vibrant and subtly spiced fruit. In the background, notes of floral potpourri and garrigue add a complex dimension. The seductive finish offers a perfect balance between aromatic intensity and lingering freshness, inviting you to rediscover this wine again and again.

Languedoc | France

Originally from Burgundy, Maxime Magnon settled in 2002 in the wild and rugged landscape of the Hautes Corbières, south of Corbières. There, between Villeneuve-les-Corbières, Durban, and Cascastel, he made an forgotten terroir his own, bringing old century-old vineyard plots back to life and establishing his name among the most exciting figures of the Languedoc revival.

The estate now covers about fifteen hectares exposed on clay, schist, and limestone soils at a good altitude, which give the grapes depth, finesse, and minerality. The vineyard is managed with a deep respect for living things: certified organic farming, manual work on the plots, and even the integration of animals (sheep, cows) that graze in winter to naturally enrich the microbial life of the soils.
