Cahors | Red | 2022

The production philosophy of this estate is based on respect for the fruit and the land. The vines, carefully cultivated on a unique terroir, give rise to an authentic Malbec. Particular attention is paid to each stage: from hand-harvesting to rigorous grape sorting, from gentle extractions to extended aging in barrels, in order to preserve the purity and density of the fruit as much as possible, while guaranteeing a silky texture and tannins of great finesse.

Our opinion on the vintage

From the first sip, the aroma reveals a seductive complexity with notes of ripe dark fruit interwoven with subtle spicy touches. On the palate, the attack is direct, with a full and velvety texture. The tannins are present but beautifully rounded, providing structure and balance. Each sip unveils lingering flavors, a reminder of the care with which this Malbec was crafted. A memorable tasting experience, to be discovered with attention and patience.

Cahors, yes, but in a more elongated, vertical style, where the Malbec never seeks to be heavy. Catherine Maisonneuve and Mathieu Cosse have breathed new life into the wines: less extraction, more rhythm, and controlled aging. The wines possess the tight structure and precision that characterize great modern Cahors. In short: remarkable purity.
