Anecdotes from the Estate: Originally, it was a small-scale production reserved for friends and family. With my brothers and our excellent cellar master, Didier Pierson (a native of Avize, 5th generation winemaker, 55 years old, with 35 years of expertise in the art of crafting great Champagnes), driven by passion, we created Champagnes reminiscent of Burgundy, with a strong identity that speaks of our terroir (very low dosage, a focus on individual vineyard plots), and above all, cuvées that evoke emotion (our Cuvée VV26, for example, from this plot of very old vines in Cramant, is magical!). We are delighted to see our vision gaining traction with the world of fine dining and especially with Champagne enthusiasts, and as you can see below, we have recently received excellent scores: 18/20 Jancis Robinson - 97/100 Decanter, and quite a few Gold Awards of all kinds. The story behind the estate: A confidential and independent production by the three Frères Frerejean Taittinger brothers, sourced from the legendary Grand Cru village of Avize, nestled in the heart of the Côte des Blancs vineyards in Champagne. This region's limestone soil yields a superb, mineral Chardonnay, a hallmark of our great Champagnes. Our approach is unique: drawing on the expertise of a family team specializing in Champagne, we respect traditional methods while remaining open to innovation. We remain true to the artisanal production we envisioned, working exclusively with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, using low dosages. We cultivate a plot-by-plot approach, in contrast to large-scale, standardized productions, primarily in Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards, in a quest for excellence. Our Champagnes age for a minimum of 6-8 years in our cellars.
