Champagne Jean-Bernard Bourgeois
Anecdotes from the estate: "Bourgeois, yes in name but not in profession!" Grandfather used to exclaim this. The story of the Irénée estate begins with the planting of his first vines with his son Jean-Bernard in 1963 in Courmas, in the Petite Montagne de Reims. In 2006, Jean-Bernard's children, Jérôme and Céline, took over the reins of the estate. We cultivate the three Champagne grape varieties, allowing us to offer you a wide range of Champagnes with distinct characters, all of which have proven themselves in several national and international wine competitions. The pride of the estate: A family-run estate located in Courmas, in the Petite Montagne de Reims, since 1963. Clay soils, a "loving" land that "grabs monkeys by the tail" in Courmas. Other soils, lighter, clay-limestone, located on Jouy-lès-Reims and Coulommes, Premier Cru.
