After more than 15 years of waiting, his winemaking project has finally come to fruition. Passion from A to Z. The Estate's Story: Jean-Philippe is one of those passionate winemakers who work their vineyards themselves. He knows each of his plots intimately. He works in close harmony with nature so that it gives us the best and our grapes develop their fruity and refreshing taste. The Estate's Pride: Jean-Philippe Hoerter is the fourth generation of winemakers in the Western Marne Valley. He joined his parents on the estate in 2000. After taking over the reins in 2009, he has developed the Champagne Michel Hoerter house and is producing the first "manipulant" cuvées alongside his wife, Valérie. Jean-Philippe Hoerter passionately crafts his cuvées, divided into two ranges that represent our house and our terroir: the "Les Muses" range is made using traditional Champagne winemaking methods, while the "Intuition" range is a selection of the finest juices vinified using the saignée method or in oak barrels. Our terroir, located exclusively in the commune of Essômes-sur-Marne, comprises 70% Meunier, 8% Chardonnay, and 22% Pinot Noir, cultivated using sustainable viticulture practices for over 16 years. We are certified High Environmental Value (HVE) and Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne (VDC).
