Champagne Solemme
Anecdotes from the Estate: To highlight our various environmental initiatives on our estate—fertilization, water management, and biodiversity—in addition to our organic farming certification, we have obtained HVE (High Environmental Value) certification. A Brief History of the Estate: Our choice of independence led us to begin marketing our champagnes in 2009 under the Solemme brand. Our commitment to natural practices constantly drives us to refine our cultivation techniques. Certified organic since 2010 for our Chardonnay and 2015 for our Pinot Noir and Meunier, we employ biodynamic methods to enhance soil vitality and express the character of our terroir in our champagnes. Over the years, we strive to improve these techniques to foster harmony between the vine and its natural environment. Our champagnes are crafted in our cellars, and each cuvée receives meticulous care to maintain its balance of freshness, elegance, and aromatic complexity. Our champagnes are vinified as simply as possible. The pride of the estate, La Maison de Champagne, is located a few kilometers south of Reims. The family business was taken over in 2006 by Olivier and Catherine. They cultivate 6 hectares of vines across 5 Premier Cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims and 1 in the Vallée de l'Ardre, all certified organic. The soils are geologically diverse (chalk, clay-limestone, silt, sand), and the exposure is dominated by plains and mid-slopes, allowing our three grape varieties—Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir—to fully express themselves.
