Château des Arras
Anecdotes from the estate: As a place to live, the château also offers bed and breakfast accommodation. We love hosting guests, but to do so, we need to be able to live alongside our animals! Very endearing, they accompany us in our daily lives and are a source of inspiration for our wines. A word about us: Anne-Cécile practically grew up surrounded by wine. Her love of wine led her to become the château's cellar master. Marie-Caroline always took a step back to better jump into the wine world. While she initially avoided the wine industry, she passionately settled at the château in 2014 after her first life in New Zealand. The estate's story: Two sisters with complementary skills at the heart of a family property dating back to the 15th century. Surrounded by their animals, they create wines that reflect their personalities: full of life and freshness. Each vintage has its own story and its own ambassador. Their values of harmony, family, and sharing led them to convert to organic farming. The pride of the estate, the imprint of a family. In the heart of Saint Gervais, on a hillside overlooking the Dordogne River, 30 minutes from Bordeaux, the walled vineyard encloses the château with its 3km wall. The terroir is ideal for Merlot (60%), Cabernet Franc (20%), and Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), and also includes Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadelle, and Sémillon to create the Gaïa cuvée. With vines over 50 years old, the wines are concentrated and bursting with fruit.
