Château d'Etroyes
Château d'Etroyes is a Burgundy estate located in Mercurey, in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise. It boasts 50 hectares of vineyards in the Mercurey and Rully appellations, including two Monopole vineyards and 10 hectares in the Mercurey Premier Cru appellation. Estate anecdotes: The Romans were the first to plant vines on our fertile Burgundy soil. They also built a temple dedicated to Mercury, which gave its name to our village of Mercurey, where Château d'Etroyes stands. The estate's history: Our team has taken on the challenge of reviving the great wines of Château d'Etroyes. These wines come from a vast 50-hectare estate on the finest plots of Mercurey and Rully, in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise. Our ambition is to restore Château d'Etroyes to its rightful place as an ambassador of great Burgundy wines, synonymous with elegance, distinction, and subtlety. The message we convey through our Grands Vins is to offer a moment of sharing and authenticity. The pride of the Château d'Etroyes estate is its Burgundy location in Mercurey, in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise. It boasts 50 hectares of vineyards in the Mercurey and Rully appellations, including two Monopole vineyards and 10 hectares in the Mercurey Premier Cru appellation. The estate's expertise lies particularly in the rigorous selection and sorting of grapes, as well as in its commitment to revealing the essence of its renowned terroirs. The estate, which has practiced sustainable viticulture since 2003, is currently undergoing HVE (High Environmental Value) certification and is working on the biological renewal of its soils.
