With Emma, who accompanies me on this adventure every day, we explored the path of aromas with the aim of crafting a wine to suit her palate. A touch of sweetness, luscious fruitiness, a subtle balance between freshness and character: L'ELIXIR was born! The estate's story: On the path of aromas... My first scents, as a child, were captured in the wood of my grandmother's sawmill, nestled in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers vineyards. From travels across continents, a mosaic of flavors and aromas gradually permeates my senses. Already, earth and scents intertwine and speak to me: coffee, cocoa, essential oils, aromatic herbs, and fruits. I am 45 years old when, on my aromatic journey, a clear path emerges: it's decided, I'm leaving the well-trodden road of the agri-food industry and embarking with determination on the path of vines and wine! A return to my roots, it is in the Entre-deux-Mers region that I settle with my wife and two daughters, establishing myself at Château Jeantieu. Discovering a craft and bringing to life a century-old estate, between tradition and modernity; respecting the legacy of those who shaped it and adding my own touch of the exotic; working the land until the most elegant nectar is crafted... This story is told in my wines, and the pleasure of taste is meant to be shared. The pride of the estate. Nestled between the rolling hills of Entre-deux-Mers and the slopes of St. Macaire, the estate's 16 hectares of vines thrive in clay-limestone soil and enjoy abundant sunshine. The grape varieties are rooted in Bordeaux tradition: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon for the reds and rosé, and Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadelle, and Sémillon for the whites.
