Château Laronde
The Moncho-Yung estate comprises Châteaux Laronde and Lapeyrère. We cultivate and market two different AOCs spread across 20 hectares: Bordeaux Rouge and Côtes de Bordeaux Rouge. It's a welcoming property, producing structured wines whose history is deeply rooted in the village and which has seen three generations of the family succeed one another. Anecdotes from the estate: I grew up among the vines, and it was only natural that I decided to continue my father's work. Being a winemaker is, above all, about sharing. Sharing one's passion, one's wine, one's culture. The 2013 Catherine vintage is undoubtedly the one that most resembled me: structured, fruity... As a child, I sometimes had trouble sleeping in the morning. I would then sit by the window, watching the fog envelop the vines. And I remember, at dawn one June morning, seeing my father emerge from the fog, pruning shears in hand, tending his vines. A wonderful memory I want to share with you! A little history of the estate: Located atop a hill on the Bordeaux slopes, on the banks of the Garonne River, the Moncho-Yung estate comprises Châteaux Laronde and Lapeyrère. A welcoming property, producing structured wines whose history is deeply rooted in the village and which has seen three generations of the family succeed one another. Driven by the same passion as my father, I decided to take over the management of the estate in 1997. I am committed to producing an authentic wine that reflects who I am. I try every day to infuse this feminine touch into our work. In 1998, I undertook a complete renovation of the winery. A few years later, all our stainless steel tanks are temperature-controlled. In 2011, Château Laronde 2010 won a silver medal at the 2012 Bordeaux Wine Competition. In 2012, our Bordeaux 2011 also won a gold medal at the same competition. History repeated itself in 2013. In 2014, Château Laronde was even awarded a Gold Medal by Messrs. Gilbert and Gaillard. The pride of the estate: The Moncho-Yung estate comprises Châteaux Laronde and Lapeyrère. We cultivate and market two different AOCs spread over 20 hectares: Bordeaux Rouge and Côtes de Bordeaux Rouge. A welcoming property, producing structured wines whose history is rooted in the village and which has seen three generations of the family succeed one another.
