Anecdotes from the Estate: The Estate's History. Clos du Caillou, a renowned estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, has been producing high-quality Côtes-du-Rhône and Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines since 1955. The majority of the estate's vines are over 60 years old, planted on sandy and pebbly soils, typical of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. The wines are aged in underground cellars for several months, resulting in fine, elegant wines with significant aging potential. The Estate's Pride: The estate has been managed using sustainable farming practices for over 50 years, and since 2010, organic farming, with a large portion of the vineyards cultivated biodynamically. The goal is to produce completely healthy grapes and minimize our impact on the environment. A natural wine (without sulfites) is produced every year. The estate is run by Sylvie Vacheron, supported by the talented winemaker Bruno Gaspard.
