Domaine de la Rochette
Domaine de la Rochette is a family-run estate located in the Touraine and Touraine Chenonceaux appellations. It covers 46 hectares. Vincent Leclair cultivates his vines on the lower slopes of the Cher River, with "perruche" type soils that give the wines a distinctive character! The vines on the plateau, with their more clay-rich soils, produce fresh and fruity wines. Anecdotes from the estate: My passion stems from childhood memories spent on the estate. Tasting the grapes, then the juice, and finally the wine is a true pleasure. I love wines that are both fresh and structured, but always fruity. For me, wine is a bond between people, a nectar that fosters brotherhood. The estate's story: I took over the estate in 2014 and have been developing it according to my own vision: taking into account environmental and social concerns, as well as the quality of my wines. The vineyards are grassed over, insecticides are avoided thanks to the use of mating disruption, and the Domaine is equipping itself with a state-of-the-art sprayer to limit the amount of pesticides used. The Domaine also continues to invest in the winery with equipment to better preserve the wine (pumps, pneumatic press, refrigeration, etc.). Finally, the people are at the heart of this approach: hard work and camaraderie are two important concepts in a profession that is both demanding and rewarding. The pride of the Domaine: Domaine de la Rochette is a family-run estate located in the Touraine and Touraine Chenonceaux appellations. Vincent Leclair, the fourth generation, took over the Domaine in 2014. The Domaine covers 46 hectares with vines located on the first slopes of the Cher River, with soils similar to those of the Perruche family, which produce characterful wines, and vines located on the plateau, with its more clayey soils, which yield fresher and fruitier wines.
