"Wine at the service of the vine and the grape variety." In the heart of the Vouvray AOC, Domaine des Aubuisières reveals the richness of the vines rooted in a clay-limestone and clay-siliceous terroir. A brief history of the estate: Domaine des Aubuisières, located in the Loire Valley, is one of the jewels of the Vouvray appellation. Since 1982, Bernard Fouquet has been at the helm of Domaine des Aubuisières. In 2021, Charles Lesaffre took over the estate, accompanied by Bernard, whom he has known for many years. At the head of a 34-hectare estate, Charles aims to follow in Bernard's footsteps, producing still and sparkling wines that are straightforward, honest, and complex. The pride of the estate: Domaine des Aubuisières comprises 33 hectares within the Vouvray appellation. The vines are spread across two soil types (clay-limestone and clay-siliceous), allowing us to offer the full richness, complexity, and potential of Chenin Blanc. The entire vineyard is managed with permanent cover cropping, a commitment to biodiversity that we are dedicated to cultivating. This practice helps preserve and optimize soil activity and biological life. It also has a structuring effect on the soil: limiting runoff from the plots, soil erosion, and preserving soil porosity and stability.
