DOMAINE DES CLOSTIERS

Located in Martigné-Briand, in the heart of the Loire Valley, our 12-hectare estate has been farmed organically since 1997. The Domaine des Clostiers was established in 2018, the realization of a dream shared by friends to dedicate their values, motivations, and expertise to a profession of sharing, passion, and humility. For the past three years, Stéphane and Boris have been working on this 12-hectare estate, striving for ever-healthier production and with the utmost respect for nature and the terroir. The estate's pride: Located in the commune of Tigné in Maine-et-Loire, the vineyard comprises three very distinct plots, each with its own soil and subsoil. However, the entire estate is geographically compact and situated on an island completely isolated from any neighbors, a major advantage for organic farming. Indeed, 2-meter-high walls enclose 7 hectares of vines. A dovecote stands at the entrance to the park. The absence of drafts and the heat retained by the stone contribute to the site's early ripening and promote the maturation of the grapes. At the far end of the park lie the remains of a 15th-century castle, burned down during the Vendée Wars.
