A family dedicated to the finest terroirs of the Côte de Nuits. Anecdotes from the estate: Robert Parker of The Wine Advocate said a few years ago that our Echezeaux Grand Cru was one of the finest he had ever tasted from this appellation. The estate's history: Domaine des Perdrix is ​​fortunate to own 33 ares of Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Blanc, a true rarity. Indeed, the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation is planted with nearly 99% Pinot Noir. Only a handful of producers have a few vines of Chardonnay. Nuits-Saint-Georges whites are elegant and opulent wines. The estate's pride: In 1996, Bertrand, Christiane Devillard, and their children Amaury and Aurore took over the Domaine des Perdrix. This Côte de la Nuits estate owns 12 hectares in the prestigious terroirs of Nuits-Saint-Georges and Vosne-Romanée. Nearly 5 hectares are Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru vineyards, including the Premier Cru "Aux Perdrix," which it owns almost entirely (99%). The quality of its terroirs, the meticulous attention paid to cultivation, winemaking, and aging have earned Domaine des Perdrix a reputation and image among the finest of Burgundy's great wines.
