DOMAINE DU BEAUREGARD

Bourgogne | France

For five generations, Domaine du Beauregard has perpetuated its heritage between the Côtes de Beaune and the Côte Chalonnaise, in the heart of the Côtes du Couchois appellation. A little history of the estate: We are Stéphanie and Jérôme, brother and sister, and we represent the 5th generation of our family estate. Nestled in Saint Sernin du Plain, just half an hour south of Beaune, our estate spans the vineyards of the Côtes du Couchois and Maranges. The history of our estate dates back to the 1810s, when the first plots of vines were purchased. In 1930, our great-grandfather, Germain Dépernon, began selling to wine merchants, thus laying the foundations of our business. The passion for wine and the family's expertise have been passed down from generation to generation. In 1976, it was our father, Michel, son of Bernard Dépernon and grandson of Germain Dépernon, who took over the reins of the estate. He continued to uphold the family tradition and develop our business. In 1992, alongside his wife Françoise, Michel acquired new, more prestigious parcels of land, including Maranges, the Maranges 1er Cru 'Les Clos Roussots', and Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune. This expansion allowed us to develop our bottled wine sales. In 2000, the family business was renamed "Domaine du Beauregard," reflecting our deep connection to the beauty of our terroir. Since then, we have been proud to perpetuate our heritage and offer you wines that capture the very essence of Burgundy. Today, we are fully committed to the estate. We showcase Burgundy wines with passion, following our own philosophy of viticulture and winemaking. We are delighted to invite you to discover our range of wines, which are the fruit of our commitment to tradition, quality, and innovation. At Domaine du Beauregard, we are much more than a winery. We are a family united by our love of the land and wine, and we look forward to sharing our passion with you. The pride of the estate: We are a family estate with 16 hectares of vines. Today, my brother and I are the fifth generation to carry on the tradition and keep the estate thriving. We are dedicated to crafting our wines with the expertise passed down to us, while adding our own touch and vision of winemaking. We practice sustainable viticulture and will be applying for HVE certification in the very near future. We prioritize natural ground cover, tilling, inter-row cultivation, and soil management in general. In the winery, we work with our destemmed grapes, minimizing inputs and allowing the wine to guide us so that it truly reflects its vintage and terroir. For example, this year we made a Bourgogne Aligoté with no added sulfites, using the first pressings. We cherish our heritage and hope it will endure; the recognition of our work in magazines, competitions, and by our customers is our greatest source of pride.
