Domaine du Champ Chapron
Domaine du Champ Chapron is a family estate whose history dates back to the 17th century. Located on the border of Brittany and Anjou, on the slopes overlooking the Divatte River, very close to the Loire, it is a place where winemaking is practiced. Being a winemaker here requires a combination of technical, interpersonal, and commercial skills—a demanding profession passed down through passion and example. In 1974, Joseph Suteau and Jeannine Suteau-Ollivier took over the estate, developed the vineyard, and began raising Charolais cattle. In 1986, their son joined them after completing his oenology studies, before officially taking over the business in 1999. The tradition continues with the next generation: Olivier, in turn, became involved in the vineyard and livestock farming, diversified the herd, and launched the IALACH brand in the Loire Valley. Located on mineral-rich slopes near the Loire River, the estate primarily produces supple, fruity, and elegant white wines with excellent aging potential, as well as a few more limited-production rosés and reds. A vibrant family vineyard, shaped by several generations, where the Loire Valley terroir expresses itself with genuine authenticity.
