Anecdotes from the estate Our anecdote: The estate's story For the first time in 2017, we entered two competitions: Chardonnay du monde and Vinalies Internationales, and here are the results: Champagne E. Lacour Brut 75 cl Silver Medal Vinalies Internationales 2017 for a quantity of 7000 bottles Champagne E. Lacour Blanc de Blancs 75 cl Gold Medal Chardonnay du monde 2017 for a quantity of 1500 bottles Champagne E. Lacour L'Excellence 75 cl Silver Medal Vinalies Internationales 2017 for a quantity of 1200 bottles The pride of the estate In love with this terroir and Champagne wines, Eric has worked on the estate since 1985, located in Rilly la Montagne. The vineyards are spread across two Premier Cru villages, Rilly-la-Montagne and Villers-Allerand, planted with the three grape varieties Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay, on clay-limestone soil. The vineyard is on the verge of achieving Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne and HVE (High Environmental Value) certification, encompassing the management of natural environments, erosion control, vineyard perimeters, soil nutrition and vine maintenance, and vine management practices such as pruning and disease prevention. For the production of our Champagne, our house works closely with a group of winegrowers who provide us with their expertise, production quality, and technical resources.
