La Glacière
Anecdotes from the estate: A special dedication to our friends! Discover the wines of Jean-Marie Chenivesse (Domaine La Photo de Famille), Julie Le Breton and Christophe Vial (Domaine LBV), Marie Hé Veyrunes, and Thomas Faure (Domaine les Lys). True gems! The story of the estate: "Man and the land." This is the geography defined by the libertarian Élisée Reclus, and it is also what terroir is all about. There are more than just winemakers, there are more than just stones! Terroir, this oft-repeated phrase, is nothing other than the osmosis of the land and those who work it. The lands of La Glacière have been bequeathed to us or simply loaned to us for a time; let's try to understand them and reveal their secrets. The tools are strength and determination first and foremost, but above all, friendship, enjoyment, and freedom. Passed down by Ferdinand and then by Jean, the fruits of Tresques were once again vinified at the estate in 2004 by François and Olivier. The vintages have come and gone. We are still thirsty! The pride of the Tresques estate, the Privat brothers' vines, north of the Gard region and a stone's throw from Uzès, grow on cool terroirs, yielding vibrant, spicy, and luscious wines. Twelve hectares of Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Couston, and Marcelans, as well as pomegranate and olive trees, are cultivated organically. The wines, free from all dogmas, orthodoxies, and gurus, are conceived and vinified with the sole aim of giving pleasure.
