Discover one of the greatest diversities of wines in Southwest France through the legendary Gaillac grape varieties, as aromatic as they are generous. The Gaillac vineyards stretch majestically across both banks of the Tarn River northeast of Toulouse. The Labastide estate and its cooperative winemakers have championed the production of quality wines since its inception, implementing an ever more innovative approach. They are both artisans and artists of their wines. Artisans who respect classic techniques and winemaking methods. Artists, because they strive to bring innovative solutions and constantly seek unexplored nuances in their wines. These roots, this heritage, and the Occitan values of hospitality and exchange continue to drive and inspire the dynamism and audacity of the winemakers at Maison Labastide, "Creators of Legendary Wines." This momentum continues today, stronger than ever, with the desire to offer wines that precisely meet consumer expectations, with a variety of products for discovery, pleasure, and tasting. A brief history of the estate: Founded in 1949, Maison Labastide is the oldest winery in the Tarn region. It has established itself as a major and historic player in the Gaillac wine region. To maintain this momentum, Maison Labastide relies on the undiminished expertise and enthusiasm of its winemakers and teams to continually enhance the potential of its vineyards. Since 2015, Maison Labastide has offered a unique scenographic tour in Occitanie. Immersive and innovative, the multimedia displays throughout the tour will immerse you in the heart of the world of vines and wine. Good to know: Maison Labastide opens its doors to businesses and associations for all their events (General Assemblies, meetings, seminars), offering a wide range of catering and wine tourism options. More information at www.cave-labastide.com. The pride of the estate: Its size and dynamism make it a driving force for the Gaillac appellation. With nearly 1,000 hectares of vineyards and 90 winegrowers, Maison Labastide vinifies grapes from the appellation's four distinct terroirs (the Terraces of the Left Bank, the Hillsides of the Right Bank, the Cordes Plateau, and the Cunac core), thus giving its wines a wide range of expression. Thanks to the richness of these terroirs and the typicity of the local grape varieties, Maison Labastide produces wines with a strong winemaking identity. Sparkling wine is part of the winemaking culture. The Labastide company, based in the Tarn region, has been producing it since its creation, just like its emblematic wine, the Gaillac perlé.
