Vin De Pays Charentais | Red | 2022

Domaine des Bellevues has combined tradition and family expertise since 1811, located in the heart of the Fins Bois terroir. This red Vin de Pays Charentais is a blend predominantly of Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winemaking process respects the characteristics of each grape variety through harvesting at perfect ripeness and separate vinification to develop a unique aromatic complexity. Aging in vats for 9 to 12 months allows for perfect harmony between the aromas.

Our opinion on the vintage

On tasting, this red wine reveals a captivating, intense purple hue. On the nose, seductive aromas of black fruit coulis and fresh raspberry mingle with subtle hints of bramble and spice. The palate offers a smooth and silky experience, with perfect balance and a fruity richness that invites further tasting. The finish, both invigorating and delicately acidic, evokes notes of blackberry and cocoa, leaving a lasting and pleasant impression.

Domaine Ramnoux

Domaine Ramnoux is a family-run vineyard located in Mareuil, Charente, where David Ramnoux and his wife cultivate approximately 8.5 to 10 hectares of vines using organic and biodynamic methods. The estate has been run for several generations and fully embraces its terroir through artisanal production.

The estate produces a variety of products including red wine under the IGP Vin de Pays Charentais designation, Pineau des Charentes and Cognac, processing all of its production on site, from vine to bottle or still.

The harvest is done manually and the winemaking is carried out in such a way as to preserve the expression of the fruit and the terroir, offering wines and spirits that combine tradition, authenticity and character specific to the Charente region.
