Dirler-Cadé

Mémoire 2023

Alsace | White | 2023

Domaine Dirler-Cadé offers a vibrant cuvée thanks to a harmonious blend of several grape varieties, including Auxerrois, Chasselas, Muscat, Sylvaner, and Gewurztraminer. Vinification is carried out with care in stainless steel tanks and century-old oak casks, followed by aging on the lees for six months, which gives the wine a rich texture. The vines, averaging 30 years old, benefit from a unique terroir southeast of Guebwiller and Bergholtz, yielding a flavorful wine with well-defined aromas.

Our opinion on the vintage

This cuvée envelops the senses in a delicate floral fragrance, where Muscat imprints its fruity and ethereal notes. On the palate, the palette of flavors unfolds with elegance, revealing in turn the delicacy of Auxerrois, the vivacity of Sylvaner, and the spicy complexity of Gewurztraminer. Its silky texture and persistent aromas pair wonderfully with traditional Alsatian dishes such as sauerkraut or candied turnips. The nuances of this wine evoke the soil of the High Vosges, providing a tasting experience full of energy and character. Perfect for a gourmet meal where each bite enhances the unique expression of this cuvée.

Dirler-Cadé

Alsace | France

Biodynamic farming has profoundly transformed Dirler-Cadé's approach to terroir, particularly in the Grand Cru vineyards of Kitterlé, Saering, and Spiegel. The estate produces remarkably precise Rieslings, where the acidic structure supports a solid, almost crystalline aromatic foundation. The Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris display a mastery of residual sugars rarely seen in Alsace, resulting in balanced wines that are never heavy. Extended aging on the lees adds volume without masking the mineral character of the soils. A key winery for understanding the diversity of the Bergholtz hills.
