Tire Pé 2022

Bordeaux | Red | 2022

This cuvée is a lovely blend of carefully selected Cabernet Franc and Malbec grapes. After a vinification process lasting two to three weeks and extended aging of 24 to 30 months in concrete tanks, the wine gains complexity while remaining pure and expressive. Unfined and with very little added sulfur, it retains all its natural freshness. The result is a balanced, elegant, and well-structured wine.

Our opinion on the vintage

On the nose, this Bordeaux offers beautiful aromas of ripe red fruit, accompanied by floral notes and a light touch of menthol, reflecting all the charm of its Cabernet Franc and Merlot blend. On the palate, it is fruity, luscious, and well-balanced, with present but supple tannins that provide structure. The finish is fresh and clean, a true reflection of careful winemaking and aging in concrete tanks, amphorae, and demi-muids. An elegant, honest, and easy-to-enjoy wine.

Château Tire-Pé

Bordeaux | France

At Château Tire-Pé, the history of the estate is reflected in the gentle clay slopes, where Merlot takes on a remarkably approachable character without sacrificing depth. Valérie and Hugues Ournac have long practiced organic viticulture, striving for a constant balance between ripeness and freshness. Their red wines showcase pure, sometimes subtly spicy fruit, supported by supple tannins that gain structure with aeration. Aging remains restrained to preserve a direct, almost luscious expression of the Entre-Deux-Mers appellation. The estate reminds us that a Bordeaux can be sincere, precise, and perfectly approachable, without artifice or pretense.
