Bergerac | White | 2024

The wine is produced using meticulous methods. After destemming, the grapes undergo prolonged skin maceration to best extract their aromas. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, thus preserving freshness and the expression of the terroir. Aging on the lees for eight months enriches the structure, giving the wine a beautiful texture while maintaining minimal filtration to preserve its authentic character.

Our opinion on the vintage

This dry Bergerac reveals an elegant nose of white flowers and citrus, enhanced by a mineral touch. On the palate, the attack is fresh, with a lovely complexity imparted by the Sémillon and a vibrant brightness from the Sauvignon Blanc. The well-balanced acidity carries a lively finish, underscored by a silky texture acquired through aging on the lees. Subtle notes of Muscadelle add a delicate aromatic nuance, offering further depth to the whole. A beautiful expression of the clay-limestone terroir, seductive and well-structured.

Domaine Albert De Conti

Sud-Ouest | France

Domaine Albert de Conti belongs to a generation that is reinventing Bergerac with a more open approach to grape varieties, blending tradition with heritage grapes. The white wines are distinguished by a full yet taut texture, the reds by their pronounced dark fruit and supple structure. Cultivation practices, focused on organic principles, reinforce this quest for balance. The wines retain a warm character typical of the region, counterbalanced by measured winemaking. A modern, accessible approach that revitalizes Bergerac.
