Equinoxe Chardonnay 2024

Côtes de Thongue | White | 2024

This 100% Chardonnay cuvée is made from grapes meticulously harvested at the end of September. The grapes are gently pressed to extract refined aromas. Fermentation is carried out with precision between 15°C and 18°C, followed by a mixed aging process: two-thirds in barrels on the lees with bâtonnage (lees stirring), and one-third in tanks. This careful process develops an intense golden color and an aromatic profile blending ripe white fruits and toasty notes.

Our opinion on the vintage

Upon opening, the Chardonnay reveals a seductive nose, combining freshness and lusciousness. On the palate, the attack is soft and enveloping, offering an explosion of ripe white fruit flavors that blend perfectly with hints of toasted bread. The finish is long and delicious, enhanced by a touch of brioche and a hint of smoke. Ideal with scallops or white meat. This wine offers perfect balance; its silky texture invites you to savor it and ensures a rich and delicate sensory experience.

Domaine de l'Arjolle

Languedoc | France

Located in Languedoc, Domaine de l'Arjolle relies on a wide variety of grape varieties, chosen for their ability to adapt to the area's contrasting soils. This mosaic of vineyard plots allows for the production of wines with complementary profiles, built on balance rather than the pursuit of a single style.

The white wines are crafted from grapes at carefully controlled ripeness to preserve freshness and natural tension. The reds benefit from moderate extraction, resulting in supple textures and expressive fruit, without heaviness. Depending on the cuvée, aging alternates between tank and oak, with brief periods in barrel when this adds extra body without masking the expression of the grapes.

The entire process aims for a clear understanding of the blends and terroirs, resulting in wines that are fluid, direct, and approachable. The estate champions a measured approach, attentive to overall coherence and the clarity of the wines' profiles,
