This wine is made from the single Nielluccio grape variety, carefully cultivated on clay-limestone soils in the heart of the Capestang region. Environmentally friendly viticulture ensures a natural expression of the terroir. Winemaking employs a classic approach, including a cold pre-fermentation maceration and judicious aging in stainless steel tanks, resulting in a wine that is both fresh and full-bodied. The specific aging of the press wines in oak barrels adds a touch of complexity.

Our opinion on the vintage

Upon opening, this wine gradually reveals itself with a nose reminiscent of blackcurrant candy, after a slightly discreet start. On the palate, it is full and velvety, a veritable explosion of juicy, sun-drenched fruit. The structure is ample, displaying a lovely roundness that culminates in a long and flavorful finish. Chalky and spicy notes add another dimension to the whole, creating a complete sensory experience, marked by a persistent and pleasant freshness right down to the last drop.

These wines possess a kind of instinctive harmony, as if the many grape varieties of Minervois readily coexist. Carignan, Grenache, Cinsault: each contributes a nuance without overpowering the others. The white wines, though rarer, are surprising. The winemaking is straightforward, sometimes a little rough around the edges, but the overall impression is one of genuine sincerity. In short: highly drinkable.
