Our opinion on the vintage

The Argile cuvée captivates with its luminous, coppery hue. On the nose, a subtle symphony of baked apples, caramel, and sweet spices envelops the senses. On the palate, this cider is remarkably full-bodied, with a luscious, airy texture reminiscent of tarte Tatin. Fine bubbles lend it a delightful freshness, while the finish offers a delicious sweetness. The minerality imparted by the clay soils is expressed with a bitterness balanced by sweet notes, offering a unique and refined sensory experience.

Julien Frémont is an artisanal producer based in Fort Manel, in the Pays d'Auge region of Normandy, who has developed a winemaking business focused on transforming apples and other fruits into artisanal ciders, perries, and Calvados. Coming from a long-established family farm, he cultivates approximately 20 hectares of orchards using organic and biodynamic farming methods.

The harvests are done by hand and the natural fermentations are carried out without inputs, giving rise to distinctive farm ciders and perries, as well as calvados produced according to traditional methods.

Julien Frémont's products are recognized for their fruity expression, tension and complexity, reflecting the Norman terroir and artisanal know-how passed down from generation to generation.
