Pétillant Naturel de Conti 2024

Vin de France | White | 2024

This wine is a skillfully orchestrated blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc. Made without added sulfur, it results from gentle pressing and benefits from natural effervescence in the bottle, further enhanced by partial fermentation in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts. Its refreshing and fruity character makes it an excellent choice for convivial summer aperitifs.

To avoid an "eruption" when opening, we advise you to place it upright in the fridge 24 hours in advance (and to open it on your sink rather than on a pretty tablecloth, even if it is less romantic).

Our opinion on the vintage

The wine is pale gold, with fine, scattered bubbles and a fleeting mousse. The nose is very discreet, with aromas of pear and (false) acacia blossom. The round palate bursts with freshness from the first sip, offering a fine, airy, thirst-quenching texture with delicate, almost creamy bubbles, and notes of fresh pear and lemon zest. The finish is very "brut nature," with a mix of citrus peel and a pleasantly present frizzante.

Domaine Albert de Conti belongs to a generation that is reinventing Bergerac with a more open approach to grape varieties, blending tradition with heritage grapes. The white wines are distinguished by a full yet taut texture, the reds by their pronounced dark fruit and supple structure. Cultivation practices, focused on organic principles, reinforce this quest for balance. The wines retain a warm character typical of the region, counterbalanced by measured winemaking. A modern, accessible approach that revitalizes Bergerac.
