Cahors | Red | 2023

This wine is the result of winemaking without additives or sulfites, respecting organic and biodynamic principles. Its grape variety is Malbec, grown on the limestone and iron-rich soils of the high plateaus of Cahors. This approach preserves the authenticity and purity of the fruit, offering a fleshy structure with beautiful depth and a spicy finish. The tannins impart a touch of rusticity that underscores the wine's typicity.

Our opinion on the vintage

On the nose, generous aromas of red fruit burst forth, inviting exploration. On the palate, the wine reveals a round and fleshy texture, where each sip is an explosion of fruity flavors. The finish, taut and spicy, hints at firm yet harmonious tannins. These rustic and authentic elements call for traditional dishes such as duck confit or cassoulet, creating a perfect harmony between the wine and the gastronomy of Southwest France.

Le Vent des Jours

Jura | France

Domaine Le Vent des Jours is a vineyard located on the high plateaus of the Cahors appellation, in Villesèque in the Lot region, founded in 2018 by Laurent Marre and François Sudreau. Situated on Jurassic limestone slopes, they cultivate their vines biodynamically with manual harvesting, without herbicides or insecticides, and work the vines with the help of draft animals to minimize the impact of machinery.

The philosophy of the estate is based on the creation of a harmonious ecosystem between the land, the vines and the surrounding biodiversity, notably through the integration of lavender, olive trees and beehives in the plots.

The wines produced reflect the freshness, finesse and minerality of the Cacus terroirs, with a range including structured red Cahors wines made from Malbec and Merlot, as well as white wines and Vin de France wines expressing the identity of the local terroir.
