Bergerac | Blanc | 2024

The wine is produced using meticulous methods. After destemming, the grapes undergo extended skin maceration to optimally extract their aromas. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks, thereby preserving the freshness and terroir expression. Eight months of aging on lees enriches the structure, imparting a beautiful texture to the wine, while minimalist filtration is maintained to preserve its authentic character.

Our Review of the Cuvée

This dry Bergerac reveals an elegant nose of white flowers and citrus, enhanced by a mineral touch. On the palate, the attack is fresh, with a beautiful complexity contributed by the Sémillon, and a vibrant brightness from the Sauvignon. The well-balanced acidity leads to a lively finish, underscored by a silky texture acquired through aging on lees. Subtle notes of Muscadelle add a delicate aromatic nuance, offering additional depth to the overall profile. This is a beautiful, appealing, and well-structured expression of the clay-limestone terroir.

Domaine Albert De Conti

South-West | France

Domaine Albert de Conti represents a generation that is re-envisioning Bergerac with more open varietal choices, blending tradition with ancient varieties. The whites are distinguished by a full yet taut texture, while the reds offer straightforward dark fruit and a supple framework. Cultivation practices, focused on biodiversity, reinforce this pursuit of balance. The cuvées retain a warm dimension typical of the region, counterbalanced by measured vinification techniques. This modern, clear approach revitalizes Bergerac.
