Our opinion on the vintage

This white wine is distinguished by its pale color with green highlights. On the palate, the initial impression is fresh and mineral, providing a lovely sensation of vibrancy. Perfectly paired with seafood or white fish such as cod en papillote, it will delight lovers of fine and elegant wines. A tasting experience that evokes freshness and lightness, ideal for convivial moments.

CLOS DES AUMONES

Clos des Aumones

Loire | France

Located in Rochecorbon, near Tours, Clos des Aumônes is a 17-hectare estate nestled on the slopes of Vouvray, on the right bank of the Loire River. The vineyard, historically founded by the monks of Marmoutier in the 4th century, benefits from a particularly favorable southern exposure. Taken over in 2018 by Benoît Coulon, a trained oenologist, the estate is managed using sustainable farming practices with the ambition of revealing the full potential of Chenin Blanc. The soils are divided between clay-limestone, which imparts roundness and length, and clay-siliceous soils with flint, known locally as "perruches," which lend freshness and finesse to the wines. Exclusively planted with Chenin Blanc, the estate produces a complete range of Vouvray wines, both sparkling and still, from dry to sweet.
