Les Vins de Vienne

Les Faures 2021

Saint-Péray | White | 2021

The wines of Vienne, located in the heart of the Rhône Valley, offer authentic and expressive wines, cultivated on steep slopes surrounded by prickly pears and cicadas. The fusion of these three local characteristics gives rise to exceptional wines, with diverse collections such as Les Vignes de Seyssuel and Les Lieux-Dits. The product of a shared philosophy and a cool microclimate, these wines are rich, fruity, mineral, and bear a truly distinctive Rhône character.

Our opinion on the vintage

This white wine has a beautiful golden color. On the nose, it reveals rich and fruity aromas with pronounced mineral notes. On the palate, the texture is smooth and the finish unveils delicate hints of undergrowth. An elegant and balanced wine, ideal for pairing with refined dishes such as chicken ballotine with chestnuts or roasted lobster.

Les Vins de Vienne

Vallée du Rhône | France

Les Vins de Vienne is a winery founded in 1996 by three winemakers and friends from the Rhône Valley: Yves Cuilleron, Pierre Gaillard, and François Villard. Their project began with the replanting of the historic vineyard of **Seyssuel**, which had disappeared after the phylloxera epidemic, producing their first vintage in 1998. The estate has since expanded to various northern terroirs of the Rhône Valley.

The company cultivates approximately 20 to 28 hectares of vines spread across several important appellations (Côte Rôtie, Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, Saint-Péray, Cornas, Crozes-Hermitage, Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, etc.) and also produces wines under the IGP Collines Rhodaniennes designation. The dominant grape varieties include Syrah, Viognier, Marsanne, and Roussanne, complemented by other varieties depending on the terroir. Vins de Vienne markets its wines, produced and vinified in Chavanay, and offers a tasting room accessible by appointment or during the posted hours.
