An exceptional terroir and rich soils in the Saint-Émilion and Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellations. Anecdotes from the estate: Faithful to a philosophy combining tradition and innovation, Vignobles Bardet has cultivated its vines using agroecological methods since 1983, with deep respect for natural resources and a controlled ecological impact. This rigorous approach has enabled the estate to obtain High Environmental Value (HVE) level 3 certification, a symbol of respectful and responsible viticulture. A brief history of the estate: Since 1704, Vignobles Bardet has flourished on the banks of the Dordogne River in Vignonet, south of Saint-Émilion. Today, this family estate is run by Philippe Bardet and his children Alice, Paul-Arthur, and Thibault, who perpetuate authentic expertise. The estate covers 50 hectares in the Saint-Émilion appellation, spread across more than 100 diverse plots. This mosaic of soils (limestone, gravel, sand, clay), combined with diverse exposures and microclimates, offers an incredible aromatic range to their wines. This strategic distribution also helps limit the risks associated with frost, hail, or pests, thus guaranteeing the quality and consistency of the harvests. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc are cultivated plot by plot with care, revealing the full richness of the terroir. The pride of the estate: Whether through single-vineyard selections, subtle blends, sulfite-free winemaking, or collaborations, each Bardet wine embodies authenticity and consistency. From Châteaux to Grand Cru, these wines appeal to both discerning connoisseurs and enthusiasts seeking genuine discoveries, testifying in every bottle to the profound connection between nature, terroir, and expertise.
