Vignobles Ducourt

The Ducourts don't wear their emblem on a polo shirt, but proudly in their hearts. The only crocodile that speaks to them is the one that represents them. Tenacity, clear thinking, composure, and wit... Anecdotes from the estate: Crocodiles are the emblem of the Ducourt family because they symbolize the entrepreneurial spirit instilled by Henri Ducourt, Jonathan's grandfather. But also, and above all, it stems from a drawing by the son of a family friend who, with a mixture of derision and admiration, planted a sign in the vineyards featuring his masterpiece: a crocodile, a symbol of tenacity, clear thinking, and composure. Amused, Henri was inspired by this drawing to decorate the new vats in the winery. It was only later that Jonathan would affix the famous drawing to all the labels of the Ducourt Vineyards wines. The story of the Domaine Jonathan is thus trying to follow in his grandfather's footsteps, multiplying encounters and experiences. For example, his meeting with Jean-Pierre, owner of La Tupina in Bordeaux, led to the creation of Blanc Limé, and he also worked with Aaron Pott when he went to work in Napa Valley. It is with dynamism and passion that Jonathan and his family share elegant and delicious wines with us. The pride of the Domaine: The story of Vignobles Ducourt began in 1858 when the family settled in Ladaux, a small village in the Entre-Deux-Mers region. Since then, the passion for wine, which became a profession, and the know-how have been passed down from generation to generation. Jonathan looks up to his grandfather, Henri Ducourt, who made numerous investments and was always open to innovation, driven by his passion and entrepreneurial spirit.
