Domaine Le Jonc Blanc

Pure S 2020

Vin de France | White | 2020

This white wine is a tribute to organic farming and natural winemaking. It is carefully crafted from Sémillon grapes grown on 40-year-old vines planted in clay-loam soils. The harvest is carried out in two stages, with some grapes left as whole bunches for a delicate infusion. This process, combined with 24 months of aging in large oak casks, results in a wine of great aromatic complexity, dominated by citrus notes and a remarkably balanced structure.

Our opinion on the vintage

From the first whiff, this wine reveals a complex bouquet with aromas of citrus and subtle floral notes. On the palate, the balance between structure and freshness captivates the senses. The velvety texture is enhanced by a gentle tension that lingers beautifully, lending an elegant and refined dimension to every sip. Aging in large oak casks elevates the aromatic nuances, adding a unique depth that will appeal to lovers of expressive and characterful wines. Whether enjoyed on its own or paired with spicy dishes, this wine stands out for its boldness and finesse.

At Jonc Blanc, Isabelle Carles and Franck Pascal have chosen a demanding, near-biodynamic approach to agriculture, resulting in wines that are honest, structured, and sometimes surprising. The estate works with a variety of grape varieties, including Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, and above all, seeks to express the terroir. The wines often display a pronounced character, a dense texture, but also a refreshing energy. The winemaking process remains minimally interventionist, which gives the wines a unique and easily recognizable personality.
