Fabien Brutout and Mathieu Cosme created "Le Facteur" as a range open to experimentation. Produced from Chenin Blanc, these wines express the full vibrancy of Vouvray's clay-limestone terroir. With manual harvests and barrel fermentation using indigenous yeasts, these fresh and appealing cuvées are designed to be enjoyed young, not intended for aging, making them ideal for convivial moments with friends.

Our Review of the Cuvée

From the first glance, "Le Facteur" captivates with its pale golden hue, sparkling with silvery reflections from fine bubbles. On the nose, delicate notes of lemon zest combine with a minerality reminiscent of damp chalk. On the palate, the attack is marked by an explosion of crisp and creamy micro-bubbles, followed by a lively and luscious texture. The finish yields a persistent citrusy freshness, offering a tasting experience that is both invigorating and balanced, perfect for your moments of relaxation.

At Frantz Saumon, Chenin takes multiple forms: sparkling, dry and crisp, or more opulent cuvées depending on the vintage. The work in Montlouis and Vouvray is based on respectful viticulture and delicate pressings that yield bright, luminous juices. The estate focuses on clear, unburdened aromatics, combined with a supple texture. The wines often gain verticality with a few months of aging, while maintaining precise fruit expression. The overall impression is one of rigorous simplicity, characteristic of great artisanal Chenins.
