Selected for its refined blend of Roussanne and Vermentino, this wine comes from a terroir characterized by meticulous winemaking. The grapes, carefully sorted and then destemmed, undergo skin contact that enhances the intensity of the aromas. After a gently controlled fermentation, the wine is aged for nine months in oak barrels, adding a subtle complexity to its structure.

Barou Estate

Barou Estate

Rhône Valley | France

In the hills of the Ardèche, Domaine Barou has been cultivating its vineyards using organic farming methods for many years. Located right next to the Saint-Joseph appellation, the estate specializes in Syrah, producing wines that are more elegant and supple than those typically found on the neighboring hillsides.

The wines are deliberately kept at a lower alcohol level to preserve the fruit’s freshness and the balance of their structure. The reds are built on polished tannins and a clear expression of fruit, without seeking power. The estate also produces precise and balanced white wines, following the same philosophy of clarity.

All of the vintages are characterized by great consistency and a smooth, balanced style, true to a restrained interpretation of the Northern Rhône. These are straightforward, approachable wines, crafted without excess and designed for an effortless drinking experience.
