Cuvée du Clocher 2022

Mâcon-Loché | White | 2022

This Mâcon Loché Cuvée du Clocher from Céline and Laurent Tripoz stands out for its freshness and harmonious balance. Made from Chardonnay grapes grown on 25-year-old vines in clay-limestone soil, this wine benefits from careful winemaking involving static settling and native yeasts, followed by 8 months of aging on the lees. Unsweetened and low in sulfur, it offers a lovely minerality on the finish. Ideal as an aperitif or with cheeses such as Comté or dry goat cheese.

Our take on this vintage

Its golden color catches the eye. On the nose, lovely notes of slightly roasted white fruits, a hint of honey, and a very pleasant toasty quality. On the palate, it’s fresh and lively: warm apple and lemon interplay with lightness, and the finish, slightly mineral and bitter, leaves a sensation that makes you want to take another sip. Quite simply, a wine that’s a pleasure to drink.

In the Mâconnais region, Domaine Tripoz cultivates its vineyards using biodynamic methods on the clay-limestone soils characteristic of the subregion. Vineyard management focuses on achieving natural balance and optimal ripeness to preserve the distinct character of the grape varieties and terroirs.

Chardonnays form the core of our production. They feature full-bodied, structured profiles, underpinned by a consistent tension that lends balance and length. Aging is managed with precision, alternating between tanks and barrels depending on the cuvée, with the aim of enhancing the wine’s body without weighing down its expression.

The Pinot Noirs, produced in smaller quantities, yield wines with bright fruit and a smooth texture, emphasizing suppleness and drinkability. The entire range is characterized by great overall consistency, with precise, balanced, and approachable wines that remain true to the identity of the Mâconnais region.
