Le vin est une fete 2025

Côtes du Marmandais | Rouge | 2025

Elian Da Ros's cuvée is the result of a bold blend of 40% Abouriou, 40% Cabernet Franc, and 20% Merlot. This wine is carefully crafted using methods that bring out the richness of these iconic grape varieties. Gentle extraction preserves the fruit’s integrity, while 11 months of aging in large oak casks and concrete tanks gives the cuvée a harmonious structure and a velvety texture. A brief period in concrete tanks prior to bottling ensures optimal clarity.

Our Review of the Cuvée

In the glass, the translucent purple hue invites a sensory exploration. On the nose, a delicate, ripe bouquet unfolds, evoking wild berry coulis, subtly intertwined with a hint of greenery. On the palate, the wine’s roundness and full-bodied character blend with delightful generosity, then the soft, fleshy texture blossoms into luscious notes of ripe fruit. The finish is a fluid and lingering experience, blending spicy notes with a pleasant and savory texture.

Hailing from the Marmande region, Elian Da Ros has developed a unique style centered on Abouriou and Cabernet Franc. His extraction is gentle, and he consistently strives for fluidity. The wines possess an immediate charm but, after a few seconds, reveal a quiet depth. To put it simply: they breathe freely. It’s a wonderful way to approach this sometimes-overlooked region.
